I had not heard that, but that doesn't make it untrue. The Grand Canyon Railway operates the 4960 and a Consolidation so you won't be out of luck in riding behind steam even if the 4960 is down. Chec

It is true that 4960 is down for something. It was supposed to be the power for our train on Sept. 5, but was informed by person at ticket office that it was taken out of service two weeks before due
