Dave: I have three equipment registers - October 1976 shows these cars still under CB&Q . The second October 1981 shows the whole series as the BN cars . An April 1994 addition shows all the cars off

If it is truly "acrylic " lacquer , denatured alcohol won't do anything to it . It is not polar enough to dissolve the resin . If the car can be immersed in the solvent , I would try a blend of aceto
