I've been modeling this area and have number of maps and track charts, so maybe I can help. Looking at an Appanoose County from 1919 the Wabash and CB&Q lines both leave the North side of Albia close

Yes, I looked a the bottom of the map where it said Appanoose and wrote that instead of the county I was looking at. I believe there is also some new track just west of Knoxville, around the crossin

My 1919 map does show the line from Hilton to Foster with connections at both ends, but I'm not sure how accurate that is.

Glen, It's definitely there on a 1957 track chart. I should have a track chart from about 1940, but I can't seem to find it. I'll let you know when I do. All the maps I have that are older won't show
