Go the Burlingtonroute,com. Look at the "Route Map" on the left hand side. There is a major heading called "CB&Q Railroad." Below that is "Modeling" - click on that and you will be taken to the model

Jim, In 1955 the shovelnose units were long gone from the DZ. They had been converted to "boosters" by this time and they were starting to scrap them. The DZ would most certainly be using the E-units

Nelson, The DZ was running the 1936 sets until the new 1956 sets were built. That was a combination of articulated and non-articulated cars. Check out your Burlington Bulletin 50 for more information

Tom, The OL coaches were what you would expect for a car made 34 years ago. They were plated cars with the truck cut-outs (see the link.) The interiors were bare brass with no seats and no clear wind

No one has made a brass CB&Q Prairie. Balboa made a brass Santa Fe Prairie, which the late Roger Miller used as a starting point to make a Q R5-A. The late Dave Beck also kitbashed an R5-A, but I can
