There are consists in the Strauss and the Doughty 

Q passenger books. Size depends on season of the year and which decade. As the trains got longer they were no longer pure CZ cars. 

Also don’t forget 2nd sections were also operated.

Told by a friend who is on his way to visit Kato in Japan that Kato will be doing a further run of California Zephyr with CBQ E, DRGW PA and WP F units  to haul. He did not mention Q F units

Hello everyone!

 

I heard rumor that Kato announced another run of the 11-car California Zephyr set (N scale). They have already done 5 releases, all with unique car names (and I have 4 of those sets already), so if the new release is another unique named set, that will be 66 unique car names. I will eventually own all six sets.

 

SO…… That begs the question:

 

What was the longest (most cars) recorded run on a California Zephyr?
