I should also have asked a question about a closeup photo of the louvers as my 135A has the chicken wire. But then again it might be easier just to change the number.  But that's not what I do...

It is the same material used on the upper air intakes.  A thin photo-etch like that included with the High Liner kits would suffice, but since we are talikng 1/64th scale, it would probably need to be custom-made. Jim Sandrin

The CB&Q F units from the FTs all the way up to the F-7s had the red strips framed in black the only ones that didn't run the full length of the car body were  the F-3 phase 2 (modelers term) were the ones with the chicken wire between the portholes then EMD went from chicken wire to lovers between the portholes so at this point they were able to paint threw the lovers then moving on to the phase 4 all the chicken wire was replaced with the lovers between the port holes and stainless steel grills for the air intakes.
