CB&Q Hide Service Boxcar 41272 A post by Chuck Zeiler on Flickr. Description: Chicago Burlington & Quincy Railroad Class XM-2 41272 at Cicero, Illinois on an unknown day in April 1980, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. The CB&Q shops at Havelock, Nebraska built 600 combination door 40 foot 6 inch boxcars in 1959, numbered 41000 - 41599. They had a 100,000 pound capacity and all were painted in the (then) new Chinese red paint scheme. It was stenciled HIDE LOADING ONLY on the plug door, usually the last assigned service before retirement.
