Greetings Jim,

Congratulations to you and your team for bringing the C&S north of Denver to life. Very well done.

Which RR owned the tiny box cab at Boulder? I take it was NG?
I don't know a lot about the RRs north of Denver, but I do know a lot were proposed, a few even laid track!
Some were predecessors of, and incorporated into the C&S. The Clear Water Canyon for example.

I think I need to do some more reading.  :-)

Thanks Mark.  And yes, that is dual gauge track.

Boulder had narrow gauge up into the mountains until 1920, and thus the dual gauge in town.  The C&S even had dual gauge to Denver briefly, in a bid to increase tourist traffic up the canyon.

Thanks.

Jim

Greetings Jim,

Did my eyes deceive me? Is that dual gauge trackage in Boulder ?

I don't mind asking dumb questions as it is a quick way to learn.

Great video as usual.

We return to freight operations in this next operations-oriented video on the HO scale Colorado & Southern Ry, entitled “ Foreign Road ”:

This time, it’s the Union Pacific Railroad running a local freight train to Boulder Colorado . In 1958, the UP rolls the last two miles on tracks of the Colorado & Southern Railway, thus the title.

See how a Union Pacific crew runs with trackage rights on the C&S. Follow the action as today's UP Local delivers household appliances, steel hardware, and more on a sunny June afternoon.

Like the previous videos, it's a bit different than most, and I hope you enjoy it.  And in keeping with this group, I’ll note that there is at least one Burlington Route train in this episode.

Thanks.
