Based on CB&Q wheel reports from 1966, quite a few classes of cars were used: HC-1 (multiple build years), HC-1A, HC-1B, HC-1C, and LO-7. Below is a list of actual car numbers and the attached PDF shows the full details of where consigned and what Q trains handled these confirmed loads.
While I am not denying Bill Hirt's comments that the 1968 CB&Q car assignment sheet says that cars 181000 to 181899 were assigned to sand service, in 1966 at least five of these cars were used in 1966 for bentonite service.
