I agree with Leo. It looks like a coal merchant, with the 'tunnel' below the track for loading wagons. My guess is that it was an Extra Board man running and he didn't have the experience to know how fast to shove the ramp. Maybe he failed on the first try and the Conductor 'urged' more speed :>) I can hear it now; "Shove faster or we'll be here all day." Mike _._,_._,_
