BB68 got to Iowa last Wed., and I found it very interesting from an operations perspective, and the meat and produce reefer consists are invaluable to modelers. I had wondered about the frequency of PFE reefers on Q trains East, given the fact the CNW took UP traffic to Chicago from Omaha, but is seems that the Q consists had lots of PFE reefers. Not so much for SFRD reefers, probably because ATSF had a direct line into Chicago. I plan to model the LC, and now I have the information I need to build the consist.

 

Thanks for such an informative issue. Now if you can follow that up with the GP issue(s), I’d be eternally grateful.
