Over the last couple of years, BNSF (UP too) has been busy converting its CTC so that the communication is handled within the new PTC infrastructure, which I believe is all fiber and uses radio only to communicate with locomotives, maintainer's trucks, etc.

(That had the effect of totally killing ATCS Monitor for lines converted. Of course, among the earliest done were the Aurora Sub, the Mendota Sub, the Santa Fe's Chilli and Marcelline Subs, Brookfield, Beardstown, Hannibal, Barstow, St. Croix...)
