To my eye the roof does have more of a pea gravel on mastic texture but it appears to be a very uniform application on all surfaces which suggests it was done at the factory. 

Sandpaper is going to be difficult to get on the sharp edges of the roof slab so I would suggest a dusting of Dunham’s Wood Putty powder over the wet concrete color, just on the roof slab surfaces.
