All- Any comments as to the color CB&Q heavyweight equipment was painted? Dave Lotz felt and I agree that the color was shifted more Brown than “Pullman Green”, whatever that color was. And I seem to recall the “Suburbanaire” modernized coaches to be a brighter green similar to the Chicago Transit Authority’s Swap Hollow Green (Mr. Budd was involved with the CTA and there may have been some crossover there). Subject: [PassengerCarList] colors Bob Webber showed me these color chips at the IRM-Pullman Library last week. This is just a sample from a book in their collection. No date on the book, but my guess is 1920s era, altho the Vanderbilt Lines chip may indicate as earlier time frame. Photo was taken with my iPhone, so don't rely on the color reproduction.
