All- Any comments as to the color CB&Q heavyweight equipment was painted? Dave Lotz felt and I agree that the color was shifted more Brown than “Pullman Green”, whatever that color was. And I seem to recall the “Suburbanaire” modernized coaches to be a brighter green similar to the Chicago Transit Authority’s Swap Hollow Green (Mr. Budd was involved with the CTA and there may have been some crossover there). This is just a sample from a book in their collection. No date on the book, but my guess is 1920s era, altho the Vanderbilt Lines chip may indicate as earlier time frame.
