Here's a shot of FW&D 2207 briefly repainted Chinese red in 1959 when that color replaced mineral red and the painter at the Fort Worth rip track simply assumed the car should received the new color.

I don't have specific records of where they ran, but keep in mind they were not a large fleet; 26 cars. Twenty-four were on the roster in 1960. I suspect they mainly ran in Texas, but the photo InterMountain used for lettering the cars, clearly shows the car was reweighed in Gillette, WY.  That makes sense since the CB&Q ran there.

We'd sure love to find more prototype photos, or any information on theses cars.  We like doing FtW&D cars since that was the 'Q' down here. Photos of these cars in the Amarillo area would be gold. If anyone has an FtW&D cars they'd like to see done, let us know.  We do custom cars that are commercially available, but not done in a certain scheme.
