Thanks for your note Bill..That's one disaster I have personal knowledge of.  That brakeman who "did the deed" was barred from mainlilne service "forever"...He was one of the brakemen on the Villisca-Corning branch line run for one of he trips Jim Christen and i made during our branch line excursions in the 1950's.

Thanks for the correction. I knew that, but somehow wrote the wrong location. Must be "Old timer’s”  disease! Still, it was a horrific accident that shouldn’t have occurred.
