Can anyone enlighten me on the purpose of the small cylinder that was fastened to the Q 900-935 series GP-20 fuel tanks.  See enclosed shot of BN 2036, aka Q 900. It was fastened to small brackets on the outer edge of the tank , just below the air reservoir on both sides toward the rear.  They were later removed from most of the units toward the end of their BN service lives. The P2K units came with them ( even the old TYCO models had them molded on).  I just want to know what function they did  serve. Thanks.  Jim Sandrin
