The Q was known to borrow diesels from the NP (and the GN), so apparently they borrowed steam, too. Considering an L-6 is relatively tiny (the HO Omaha 0-6-0 would be roughly comparable to an HO L-6), the NP wasn't giving up much. An L-6, No. 924 (ex St. Paul & Duluth) exists today out on the Left Coast.
