I store my timetables two ways.
Public timetables are also stored in clear plastic 4 ¾ x 10 slip covers. Most public’s have already been folded, so I tend to leave these alone and store them on end with the folds at the top. My filing system is not your normal file cabinet
type. I found a store (The Container Store) when I lived in Illinois that sells a clear plastic drawer used to store socks. Each drawer has two dividers across the width and one divider down the center. I eliminate the center divider and just use the three
sections that are left. With the timetables in the slip overs stored on edge, they store perfectly. They are the correct depth and width to store publics.
For easy retrieval I use business card slip covers from Office Depot that stick to the front of each drawer. Make a label and slip it inside and you won’t have to hunt. Another nice thing about these plastic drawers is they are stackable.
Don’t stack them higher than 5 drawers as the weight from above makes it difficult to open the bottom drawers.
Employee timetables are stored in individual clear plastic slip covers 9 x 12 1/8 with a cardboard insert. Most employee timetables fit snuggly this way and are filed in my file cabinet on end with the spine at the top.
If timetables have been folded, I unfold them and put a stack of heavy books on top to help eliminate the fold. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t completely eliminate the fold.
Hope this helps
