I am planning on building one or two wooden water tank kits for my S scale layout.  I am sure that we have had this discussion before, but I cannot locate what color CB&Q painted their wooden water tanks.  Any help would really be appreciated.  Also, how common were water columns used trackside during the steam era on the Burlington?  Were they ever found on the Chicago - Aurora mainline or only in rural areas?  Thank you and stay safe.
