| Several DDA40X horn sets were also knocked off at Clyde Diesel Shop. After several experiences of this sort, the shop crews began removing the horns before preservicing them as they went into operation following delivery from EMD.

Hol- Thanks for the comment. The photo raised a tickle in the back of my brain about the U50s being banned but I never knew the reason. I think the same thing happened on the C&NW for the DD35s but the reason was they were hard on the track IIRC. Charlie Vlk
