So this is all Railroad Fiction. But try and get it corrected is a job and a half as everyone now looks at this as FACT
The Dolly got its name because it was a gas-electric run bringing the mail and express to the small towns off the Main Lines of the Q.

Says the train started in 1868 and then goes on to say it reached its peak in the Civil War. Also talked about the engineer’s uniform.
Local historical societies sometimes print dribble.
