Randy-

I am not sure what photo you are looking at…the ones I have (including official builders photos from the railroad) do show the opposite…the BURLINGTON style numbers have the 1 character with the tail as do the Chinese Red style freight cars lettered with that font.

I have noticed inconsistencies in the shape of alpha and numeric characters from the RailRoad Fonts set and the prototype.  It looks like the MicroScale sets that I examined are correct.

It is possible that the shops cut the stencil for some units “incorrectly”….just follow the photos of the unit you are modeling.

Hi Dave,

I was wondering if you know where I can find CB&Q fonts for Chinese Red Locomotives. I have the 87-15 set from Micro Scale. The number '1' doesn’t match the photos that I’ve looked at.

I checked the website called RailRoad Fonts and I didn’t see anything that came close. I guess if I have to I can cut off the upper left corner of the number '1' from the decals sheet.
