At the museum that I volunteer at they receive a magazine called the S & D Reflector which is about river operations. This week I was looking at the September 2019 as they are doing stories on the Dubuque Boat and Boiler Company. I was really surprised when they were writing about a a fire the boat company suffered on April 20,1913. There is a photo in which CB&Q dredge #20 and CB&Q harbor boat are pictured. The dredge looks to be tied up but the boat is moving. Does anybody have any history on these vessels? I am trying to speculate as to why a dredge was here. The bridge should already be here. Would it possibly have been used to dredge for possible double tracking along the river? If I have my locations correct the CB&Q freighthouse was along side the boatworks. Steven Fye _._,_._,_
