The message below is from the PassengerCarList IO group regarding CB&Q Silver Cafe. Also, might anyone have a suggestion on water tank fill valve assemblies?

I just subscribed to PCL [PassengerCarList]..........I'm Bob Hultman, VP of TC Ry Museum in Nashville TN-

http://tcry.org/

TCRM has operated passenger excursion trains on the Nashville & Eastern RR since spring 1989.  Some PCL members may have ridden our trains in the past.

Last Saturday was the 1st revenue run for a 1948-blt Budd dining car, ex-CBQ Silver Cafe', AMTK 8510.

We bought the car from AMtK during their recent auction of the last of their Heritage fleet diners.  After some cleaning & repair work, most all the kitchen appliances are working, including the grill from which our president & food service manager Terry Bebout & crew prepared excellent burgers, onion rings & the fixin's for our trip last Saturday to Baxter TN's Harvest Festival........... Had over 530 passengers on the trip.

Looking forward to learning a bunch from the folks on the PCL

Anybody have a source for replacement parts for water tank fill valve assemblies for Budd cars?  We have several that are impossible to open-close w/o breaking something.
