Thank you Dan and Ray!
Would love to see your slides digitalized Ray!
Do you live near Chicago? I’d pay for the process if I could use a couple for reference. I boarded at the LaVergne station with my mom grandmother and great grandmother
Dan, I didn’t realize that CB&Q was not under the numbers on the sides of the cab that helps in adding decals. Did the tender have 5632 on the back? I didn’t know it was different from one another. Figured it was painted and decaled the same way on both occasions.
I’m interested in the Chicago- Aurora version in particular

the side of cab. Just yellow letters on gold paint. Plus the firebox was still graphite/silver in color. And the tender herald was the large size with white lettering.

of the Chicago-Aurora service was celebrated
