Hello Tom and List, Thanks Doug, for mentioning the shippers guides I offer for sale. The shippers guides list all the industries in a town. As an example the UP guide for Lincoln, Nebraska with also list the elevators on the CBQ and on the RI lines in Lincoln. So the UP guide will list Q elevators at any point the two RR's cross, such as Fremont, Superior, Grand Island. Hastings and many others. In Illinois the Milw list wold cover the joint towns of Rochelle, Rockford, Savanna, and many other common points. In similar ways the Milw, CNW, RI, MP and other guides would also list industries at common points. I have never seen a shippers guide for the CBQ. Has anyone else seen, or have a copy? Tom I suspect that every town on the CBQ had one or more grain elevators. Instead of compiling a list your best bet would be find a Shippers Directory for the CBQ. A shippers directory would have the list you seek. Here is one source of reprints: http://railsunlimited.ribbonrail.com/Books/shippers.html Unfortunately Ted does not offer one for the CBQ. You might find one at a swap meet or eBay. Doug Harding www.iowacentralrr.org

There is a slide for sale on eBay right now of a Q freight train in 1968 at Sandwich, IL that really caught my attention: _._,_._,_
