Are you sure it might not be a NW2? The locomotive assigned in
the early 1950s at Leavenworth was Midwest Locomotive Works
product as Q number #9123 which was only 450hp. Both Atchison
(which was using a 44 tonner at the this time) and Leavenworth
both had pretty low end power until near the merger when they got
GP7s.
