There is a slide on eBay of CB&Q 5632 at Savanna on a fan trip in 1961 (eBay says it is 9-61 and I have several other photos dated the same month but from different angles, so this is probably the 09-03-1961 NRHS fan trip to Dubuque, IA). https://www.ebay.com/itm/392223078614 The thing about this photo is it shows a previously unknown (to me) structure - a large vertical silver tank located next to the sand house. This tank is not shown on my detailed Savanna Yard map. The diesel fuel tanks for the engine facility are clearly shown and labeled and are actually located to the east of the roundhouse (two tanks protected by a dike around them). I'm guessing this may also be a fuel tank for diesel or kerosene to fuel the sand drier, but I'm not sure. Can anyone help to identify what this tank would be used for? -- Tom Mack Cincinnati, OH _._,_._,_
