I would think that amateur photographers taking pictures of washers would be infrequent, given Chicago weather, high humidity and whatever chemicals are used to clean cars. For that matter, professional photographers may have taken a dim view of that environment, too. Even in the 1930s, cameras cost real money. I note that pictures of Q steam on dinkies showed them to be rather grubby. Obviously they didn't go through washers. Pat Egan _._,_._,_
