[CBQ] Thank You and Save The Date: St. Louis RPM 2019

On behalf of the St. Louis RPM Meet team, we'd like to send a belated Thank You for making the 2018 St. Louis RPM Meet another fun, inspiring, record-breaking success.  Life has gotten in the way of sending our thanks earlier and we wanted to be sure you know how grateful that you were able to come to St. Louis and learn, laugh, and enjoy fellowship and good times with 680 of your fellow railroad modelers.  We had a big time and we hope you did too!

The 2019 St. Louis RPM meet dates are set for Friday, 26 July and Saturday, 27 July, again hosted at the Gateway Convention Centre in Collinsville, Illinois.  

As for 2018, Thank You to all you guys that brought models for our display.  We are a modeler's meet first and your models are the centerpiece of the event.  We know how much time and effort (and hassle!) is required to bring models, but without the models we'd be just another train show.  We had 3,700+ models on display--a little short of our goal of 5,000, but there's always next year.  

Thanks to our wonderful and generous vendors, manufacturers, exhibitors, and historical societies for doing what you do.  Thanks to our awesome clinicians, some of whom came 2,000+ miles to present topics and meet new RPMers.  And Thanks to the great guys that bring layouts and the guys who opened up their home layouts for tours.  Bringing a layout, and setting it up and tearing it down in two days is a hassle--we know it, but everyone loved seeing the layouts.  And opening your home up to a hundred hungry guys is a hassle too.  Again, the event wouldn't be what it is without your hard work.  We hope you all had a great time and found that our event was worth your time and expense.

If there's anything we did in 2018 that we need to change, fix or add, let us know and we'll get on it.  Just address all the guys in the To line above.  If you're a scale model vendor and want to join the party in 2019, contact us right away.  Space is still limited.  If you've got a cool clinic, let us know that too.

Finally, our congratulations to Mike Skibbe and the Chicagoland RPM team for hosting their 25th RPM event.  What a grand milestone!  We hope you have a great time this coming year at Cocoa Beach, Springfield, the NMRA National, NE RPM and everywhere else you go.  Travel safe!
