Thanks Louis If you look on the second page of the Web site you find the sections that made up the Mainline machine in Cicero. They were built by WABCO. I have a clinic Trains Dispatcher 101 which starts with my start in Cicero and progresses thru my 35 years as at Train Dispatcher. I use to shoot slides and would wind up with one or two shots left on a roll so would take to work and shot the machines. After setting up the first Galesburg Meet in 1993 and caught in the move to Ft. Worth and not able to make the meet I had helped set up We taped it and Mike Spoor showed it at the meet. I have updated it with the advances (?) over the years. Do not let Pete see this but I have found The first Phone orders were put out on the Boston, Revere Beach and Lynn RR in 1892. In Electric Railway Journal 3/19/1910 the ATSF was installing a Western Electric phone system between Denver and Pueblo, Colo. Where a study found that using the phone the dispatcher could handle the same work in 60 percent of the time. On the CB&Q the Mainline Desk (Aurora to Mendota) in the Aurora Depot was using the phone for orders in 1927. DS 102 is Tools with a working on DS 103 Train Movement clinic in the works Getting back to the Web site photos often they are close up of parts of the desks we used. The machines from Hannibal were mostly GRS with the Beardstown machine a WABCO. In Cicero the Mainline, C&I and Ottumwa were WABCO. Mike Spoor's" CB&Q In Color" shows the C&I Machine in Aurora Depot this was replaced in the mid-'60's with the WABCO machine in House 9. Site of the East End machine put in starting in 1954 with the Mainline moved to Cicero in '66 and the Ottumwa. But Wait I Just gave away part of the Clinic I hope to give at the Spring Meet in April 2019 It is time to go to bed anyway Steve in SC On Saturday, July 14, 2018 2:46 PM, Tom Parisoff via Groups.Io <bn2310=yahoo.com@groups.io> wrote:
