My sister-in-law gave me one of these made by Falcon that is stamped "Burlington Route"

 

Tried to photograph it, but the letting doesn't show up well due to the curvature of the nib.

From what I can see on-line, a number of companies had Esterbrook supply pen nibs stamped with the company name, including the CB&Q.

Can anyone expand on this?

(And for the younger element, before ballpoint pens such as Bic were fountain pens which had an internal ink reservoir, and before there was a pen with a steel nib which was dipped in an ink bottle, for writing.)
