I sat in that car at west Quincy the night of December 27, 1953 waiting for the Zephyr Rocket to take me to St; Louis....right after my "Adventure on the American Royal" episode chronicled in the most recent Zephyr ...or maybe it was a Bulletin.  I have also seen that car in one of the Q color books serving as the depot at Bevier MO.  Don't recall the year

Hello Richard and Rupert -
My fading memory says the Riverview served as a temporary ticket office/station at West Quincy, Missouri,
in 1953-'54 while the new depot was being built.
Did the car then get moved to Bevier, Missouri, to serve as the agents office/depot??
Does anyone have any good history of the car in this time period?   PAW

Thanks Rupert.

I'm still thinking this has a few areas that need clarification.

CB&Q 220 "MISSISSIPPI"
Purchased from SP&S as the 570 and placed in service at CB&Q 220 in June 1934
Rebuilt as Buffet-Parlor-Observation CB&Q 340 in November 1934
Rebuilt as Chair Car CB&Q 4811 in ????? (Was this converted to a Chair Car at the same time as the 221?)
Restored back to ???? in February 1946 (Was this restored back to the 340?)
Rebuilt as Business Car "Round Up" in June 1953
What is the history of the car after this?

CB&Q 221 "RIVER VIEW"
Purchased from the SP&S as the 571 and placed in service as the CB&Q 221 "River View" in June 1934
Rebuilt as Chair Car CB&Q 4810 in May 1943
Restored back to Parlor Observation CB&Q 221 in February 1946
Placed in Maintenance of Way Service as CB&Q 250051 at Lincoln, NE in May 1967
What is the history of the car after this?

Thanks,

Richard Wilkens
