Hello, Group:
I am modeling a mythical Q transfer yard, of which there once were hundreds in and around Chicago operated by various railroads in the 30s and 40s.

Could someone please tell me some example of areal Q transfer yards and what union rules governed them? For example, at other yards, foreign lines could deliver to Railroad B's transfer yard, then must return light. Railroad B would sort and then deliver cars to interchange roads using their own power. Other roads could not pick up cars from Railroad B's transfer yard.

Thanks for the help.
