Louis and group-

After the drawbared fixed consists were broken up and couplers installed one could have had any combination of F2 through F9 (C&S/FW&D) units.

But as far as I know the only “official” two unit locomotives were the briefly created 200 series FT A/B units which did not last very long.  The F-2A units were delivered in pairs drawbared back to back but numbered for the FT A/B sets they were intended to be mated to.  Of course, the FTs could only be run as A/B sets as the A and B were always drawbared even after couplers were added to the rear of the B units and were either numbered with another FT A/B or a F2A.   Eventually the FT A/Bs  were run with just about any freight locomotive on the property.
