Forgot to mention the State Fish Hatchery & the old Northern Tobacco Co-op (ex- Q customer, 'wrap' for cigars was raised commercially in the nearby Kickapoo River valley) both between Prairie & La Crosse where the Hwy aka Great River Road, hugs the Q main. On N side of Prairie is the old cannery which Q served on a spur that more recently served a bldg. truss mfg a few hundred feet east. For you outdoorsmen & women, a LARGE Cabela's is across the hwy & a few blocks N of the cannery which is now a craft outlet.
