Thanks for the snippet about the lodge. I’ve been researching Potter and
Stone as a side bar for a Bulletin article, so I’ll add that. You wouldn’t
have a copy of the letterhead, would you?

If you have access to "The Great Burlington Strike of 1888"
you will find that Stone is
Portrayed as a "hard nose" while Potter is portrayed as a
moderate. Also one should note that the Aurora,IL lodge of the BRT was named
the T.J.Potter lodge on its letterhead well into the 20s. The index of the
above mentioned book clearly identifies one of the V.P.s of the Q as T.J.
Potter. Would seem he was "one of their own" when it came to union
members as It sure looks like he came up through the ranks from Aurora.
