Incredible!! I have heard of this happening over and over (correct pilot model then wrong production models) but I thought the Chinese finally had taken care of most of these production issues. I saw the new Bowser Q VO-1000 pre-production models (single and four stack) at the NMRA in Indianapolis and they looked great. I really liked the dynamotor addition. Apparently the Bowser Chinese factory made a mistake on the models that should have only a single exhaust stack. They shipped them with 5 stacks! Four tall stacks and the original single short stack. I called Bowser Monday PM and the man I talked to was very surprised when he saw what I told him of. He said the pilot models the factory sent were correct, however the production model single stack versions were wrong. At this time, Bowser does not have a fix. Removing the 4 tall stacks would leave 4 holes to fill on top of the hood. The new Q VO’s do have the 2-way radio gear on the top of the hood, however the dynamotor detail is missing.
