All - For those active and retired professional railroaders in this Group, the following technical insights ought to be of interest regarding the collision between Amtrak's Palmetto and the mow backhoe:

I suppose in this modern era the mow crew didn't have a flag man positioned an appropriate distance from their work site. But, at 100 mph-plus, the Palmetto didn't have much time to stop anyway. Another sad story - Louis
