The investigation has revealed that the backhoe was fouling the active main when hit by the Palmetto at about 100 mph, due possibly to a mix-up in communications with the dispatcher. Like I stated earlier, another sad story - Louis

I suppose in this modern era the mow crew didn't have a flag man positioned an appropriate distance from their work site. But, at 100 mph-plus, the Palmetto didn't have much time to stop anyway. Another sad story - Louis
