Charlie and Noel,

Nancy and I HAVE a cuckoo clock headlight that we purchased a couple of years ago. It is not from the "Q"!  It's supposedly from a short line in north eastern Iowa. It's currently in storage with the BRHS Company Store materials. We'll be filling orders in the next couple of days. If you like, we'll take a couple pictures and get measurements and send them on.

If anyone gets dimensions of an actual headlight I would be happy to make a fully dimensioned drawing to share.

Is this the drawing of the K2 that is in Benard Corbin's book "Steam Locomotives of the Burlington Route"?  It was done by Lou Schmitz of Omaha.I have it and am getting ready to enlarge a copy to 1:32.

I forgot that the January 1961 Model Railroader had drawings of K2 #630 and it has the Cuckoo Headlight on the drawing of the locomotive.

With the image from the railroad journal of the original oil headlight they were made from a fairly accurate drawing could be cobbled up.
