I posted a pic from a friend's 1956 Columbus, MT yearbook a while back of a bunch of kids along the rail of an SD7 on a passenger train that was one of these trains. It picked the group up in Billings and took them to Denver for a senior trip.

Does anyone remember the CB&Q Passenger Trains 29 & 30 (I think)( Denver to Billings through Wyoming) having a yearly excursion special to take kids to Denver to see different things.  The one I went on was to Garden of the Gods, Red Rocks, & a couple of other things.  They just added passenger cars onto the regular train for the kids to get on.  I lived in Glendo so our car had Douglas, Glenrock & Glendo on it.  Does anyone have any pics or newspaper articles to share with this group on this item??
