Thread-topic: [CBQ] Quincy Branch Book

I just received my copy last night, and this book is going to provide hours of enjoyment.

I have a question for Bud and Phil Weibler.  Can you tell me the date of the photo that Phil took on page 53 from the tower of the Quincy depot.  Was it 1953?  The 3 track signal bridge at MP 262.40 is missing from this photo and replaced with a searchlight at the end of the Lower Bay Bridge.  An older photo, on pages 56 and 57, taken in 1944 still shows the signal bridge, along with interlocking semaphores for the bridge.

I had assumed that the signal bridge was taken out in 1953 when the Quincy Loop was retired.  The photo on page 53, if taken in 1953, suggests that the signal bridge was taken down in 1947 when CTC was modernized, and the interlocking semaphores on the signal bridge for two tracks were replaced by the searchlight on the one track only.
