Rupert - Thanks for double checking the date by using the construction date for the gon. Brilliant! The ink on the backside of the old photograph was very, very faded and I made it out to be 1905. Could well be 1915 instead. Since it can't be 1905, will change the date to 1915. I appreciate this.

 

We are all so fortunate to members of this Group. Where else in the world could you find folks so interested in Q and subsidiary history, particularly to the "depths" some of us, including myself, take it..... Thanks for posting the photo. You may want to check the date, though, as the gondola behind 2527 appears to be numbered 173380 (or similar) so it’s a GA-9 built in 1912.

I'm attaching an image from the collection of my father M.L. Zadnichek. It shows Class P-2 4-4-2 type No. 2527 posed alongside the trestle leading up to the timber coal dock at North LaCrosse, WI, in 1905.
