Until I find my magnifying glass, I'm going to have to say westbound main 1 at Berwyn judging by the interlocker signals (LaVergne plant) and what appears to be the IC overhead bridge in the background.  Has to be prior to June,1951 when 2052 was retired.
 
My apologies about the ATS explanation I sent you; should have been ATC.  ATS has a "pick-up shoe" attached to the journal; can't believe I forgot that feature after running the Southwest Chief between Chicago and Ft. Madison for 10 years!  ATS is used between Ft. Madison and KC on #3 & #4 and we had to be sure the "shoe" was in place, tested and signed-off as being functional, prior to leaving Chicago.
