All,
I
need some help. I have the intent to build an
HO scale model of the old CB&Q Depot. (Not
the one build in 1930-1931 time frame that was
art deco/southwest design destroyed in the
1960 time frame.) This depot have
seen 1 photo of this depot in the UP Depot
museum. I have the following information:
1. 1894 Sanborn sheet 16,
shows the building labeled Cheyenne &
Burlington Depot
2. 1907 Sanborn sheet 18
shows the building labeled Burlington &
Missouri River RR
3. 1912 Sanborn sheet 18
shows the building labeled Colorado &
Southern depot
4. 1923 Sanborn sheet 5
shows the building labeled Chicago Burlington
& Quincy RR as the old depot.
5. The new CB&Q Depot
(Art Deco/Southwest style) was built in the
same spot and finished in 1931One semi aerial
¼ quarter shot showing the roof lines. Big
clock tower on the corner of 16th
and the Railroad plaza.
I
will be going the Wyoming State Archives on
the 14 of August. (I cannot figure how to
disable my pop-up blocker so I can see their
collection on line) But will be in Cheyenne on
the above date.
So,
any plans, photos, or information will be
appreciated. I will share my findings.
