You fellows beat me to the punch with the replies regarding the as-delivered TCZ cars as shown in the Randall Passenger Car Library Budd Company CB&Q book. That was one of the primary sources I used when I wrote " It does look like these cars came with FWDs when delivered". Thank you both for the remainder of the information regarding the diaphragms. My follow-up question is about others' experiences/suggestions for modeling the narrow diaphragms without experiencing operating problems.
