Can anyone speak to the new release of RTR Athearn HO 50' Ice Reefers in the BREX scheme? BREX numbers are 303, 312, 322 and they are steel side. These would be part of the 300-325 series cars built in 1937. From the photo in BB12 these look pretty accurate, but as built they came on drop-equalizer passenger car trucks. Anyone know how long these lasted in the Express Scheme and if the trucks were ever changed? Any idea what trains they would have primarily been used on and whether they just went to regular service late in their careers?
