Throughout that time E-units from the general pool were used on 42-43, which meant an occasional E5 showed up.  And in heavy mail times, generally around Christmas, pairs of SD9s would be used.

Subject: [CBQ] passenger service between Alliance and Lincoln

Does anyone have information on passenger trains between Alliance and Lincoln in the late 50's early '60's. I am interested in what power units were used, No.s and any pictures. I road the special train CB&Q had taking school students to the Ice Capades  in Lincoln. I also met the train nearly every morning to pick up newspapers for my route the summer of 1965.
